Parish Caritas
A parish is the local Catholic community. In urban areas, a parish might be a single church or encompass several, while in rural areas, it often consists of a main church and smaller chapels. Within the Diocese of Penang, there are 29 parishes spread across Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, and Kelantan. Caritas is present in most of these parishes, running programs tailored to local realities and needs.
Caritas reaches out to the poor and marginalized, regardless of race or religion. If you are in distress and need someone to listen, please reach out to your nearest parish to speak with one of our volunteers.
